Dr. Jayant G. Joshi​

About Me

Dr. Jayant G. Joshi received Ph. D. degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering from Punjab Technical University, Jalandhar, India under AICTE sponsored QIP (Poly) Scheme. He is presently serving as a Lecturer in Electronics (Selection Grade) at Department of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering, Government Polytechnic, Nashik, (M.S.), India. His total teaching experience is 28 years.  He is a Senior Member of IEEE (SMIEEE), Member of Institution of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers (IETE), a Member of IET (UK), a Member of the Institution of Engineers (India), a Life Member of the Instrument Society of India, a Life Member of ISTE, and has been listed in Who’s Who in the World.

His research interests include metamaterial and microstrip patch antennas, Wearable antennas (for Wi-Fi, Wi-Max, WLAN, BAN, MBAN and public safety band applications), Mechatronics, and Instrumentation systems. He is pioneer in design and development cloth based wearable microstrip patch antennas at International level. Also, designed, fabricated and published various cloth based wearable microstrip patch antennas for different applications. Dr. Joshi is well-known researcher and contributor in wearable and metamaterial based microstrip patch antennas, microstrip filters.  Dr. Joshi has designed and developed Microstrip and Wearable sensors for measurement of various physical quantities.

Dr. Joshi has published numerous International Books on Metamaterial antennas for wireless communication, Mechatronics, Measurement and instrumentation systems.  Also published informative international book chapters in encyclopedias and handbooks on microwaves, 3-D printed antennas, microstrip patch antennas, and wearable antennas.

Dr. Joshi has extensively published research papers in International and National Journals, Newsletters, International Conferences, Symposium and Workshops of high repute. Presently, publishing wearable antenna technology in regional language “Marathi” through leading Magazines like Marathi Vidyan Parishad Patrika Mumbai. Radio Vishwas Community Radio 90.8 Nashik has recently broadcasted his interview on the topic “Wearable Antenna Technology” under program “Dilkhulas Gappa” in regional language Marathi. He is also contributing his research in Atmanirbhar Bharat

Qualification Details

B.E. (Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering) from Amravati University, Postgraduate from BITS, Pilani (Raj.). Received Ph. D. degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering from Punjab Technical University, Jalandhar, India under AICTE sponsored QIP (Poly) Scheme.

Current Job Profile and Experiences

He is presently serving as a Lecturer in Electronics (Selection Grade) at Department of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering, Government Polytechnic Nashik (M.S.), India. Prior to this, he worked as a Head, Department of Industrial Electronics Engineering at un-aided polytechnic.

Career Objectives:

To miniaturize telecommunication systems, acquire high data transfer and lossless and develop sustainable communication My research venture into innovating antennas.

My research intends to deliver

  • Seamless microstrip antennas for telecommunication sector
  • Innovate wearable antennas for RF and Microwave technologies
  • Promote an antenna-friendly society, viz., social-economic well-being.
  • Economic alternative for wearable antennas
  • Specialize in microstrip sensors for instrumentation and mechatronic systems.

  • Recipient of various IEEE and Institution of Engineers (India) awards for contributions in microstrip patch and antennas.
  • Recipient of national awards such as the Engineering Achievement Award of the Institution of Engineers (India), Nashik Local Centre, and the Lions Clubs International (Nashik District) Award in appreciation of endless efforts towards society.
